Kate del Castillo Negrete Trillo is a Mexican actress. She voices La Muerte in the English and the Spanish versions of The Book of Life.
She made her acting debut in 1978 in a film called The Last Escape. She became well known when she starred as Leticia in Muchachitas, a telenovela airing in several Latin American countries, as well as in La Reina del Sur.
